Small space

Keep recognisable first aid supplies together in a dry, secure place, with intact packaging and a simple restocking check.

Match a compact recycling area to your council's collection rules, with a clear route out for packaging and a separate plan for unusual waste.

Use a short session to clear the walking route, reduce current shoes and bags, and finish returning items to other rooms.

Protect a proper preparation area by finishing the washing-up cycle and giving post, bags and work equipment another home.

Plan washing around drying capacity, care labels and putting clothes away, rather than starting loads faster than the flat can accommodate them.
